William “Ryan” Tawpash, a 26-year-old fine arts student who is in his second year at The Academy of Arts in San Francisco’s online program, has already been selling his paintings as well as the T-shirts, and stickers that he has designed. In 2015 the Orange County Art Council named Ryan the artist of the month. His studio, Creative Cloud Studio, in Warwick, NY, was featured on the studio tour sponsored by the arts council.
When Ryan was 21 his talent appeared as a fortuitous side effect of the brain injury he suffered in a motorcycle accident. The bold color and abstract design of Ryan’s paintings reflect the positivity and inspiration he used in recovering.
“(Both) are key when fighting through a tough time, because both show the beauty of being human,” Ryan said.
